The Pitch Winner Prize

All women selected as Pitch Winners at the Make Mine a Million Competition & Homecoming event on July 31, 2012 will receive a consultation worth up to $1,200 with lawyers from eMinutes about developing the proper structure for their small businesses. For nearly 20 years eMinutes has worked with A-list celebrities, musicians, and athletes in building the best strategies around business incorporation and more. As part of the Make Mine a Million Competition & Homecoming program, eMinutes lawyers will work one-on-one with Pitch Winners to review their corporation paperwork, determine whether those documents need to be updated or can be made more effective, and take whatever steps are necessary to restructure the company. For winners who have not yet formed a corporation, eMinutes will assist them in forming one. All Make Mine a Million Competition & Homecoming Pitch Winners will be featured and promoted on eMinutes' gallery of entrepreneurs.
 
The Make Mine a Million Competition Awardee Prize
 
Women selected as Make Mine a Million $ Business Awardees are invited to participate in the Count Me In Business Accelerator program, a 6-month curriculum designed to help women business owners with a minimum of $150,000 in annual gross revenues grow significantly toward the $1 million (or more!) mark within 18-24 months. This program is FREE to all Make Mine a Million $ Business Awardees and valued at $3,000. Designed and delivered by People Biz, Inc., the program utilizes an effective combination of group coaching and training in personal development, business education, expert support and peer accountability.

Eligibility and Process

Criteria

To pitch your business, you and your business should meet the following criteria:

• Be at least 50% woman owned;
• Be a U.S. citizen or legal resident;
• Be in business at least one year;
• Have annual revenues of between $85,000 and $1 million
• Have a viable plan to expand your business
• Have reasonably good personal credit history
• Be ready to grow your business to a million dollars within the next 18-24 months!

Pitching Your Business

At the Event, each participant will deliver a two-minute elevator pitch about their business, qualifications, and how they would benefit from the Program.  This pitch is given in front of a panel of qualified judges selected by Count Me In. The judges will select which of the participants will be named as Pitch Winners to move on to the next round.
 
Elevator Pitches are judged on the following criteria:

• Entrepreneur’s ability to execute her vision (growth/mindset/depth of experience)
• Growth potential of the business (in terms of size and scale)
• Realistic marketing and financing strategy (well-defined market niche/competitive advantages/financial acumen)

Application

Once you have pitched your business and are chosen as a Pitch Winner, you will move on to the application process. In order to be eligible for selection as a Make Mine a Million $ Business Awardee, you MUST complete the online application package by the assigned deadline.  A complete application package consists of;

• Completed and submitted on-line Make Mine a Million $ Business competition application
• Business and professional references
• Submitted financial documentation about your business including projections
  • Profit and Loss Statements for 2011 and Year-to-Date 2012
  • Cash Flow Statements for 2011 and 2012
  • Balance Sheet Statements for 12/31/2011 and 03/31/2012
