“I attended a Make Mine a Million $ Business event in the October 2007 in New York, where I pitched my business and was named a MicroBusiness Awardee. I was spotted by an Inc. Magazine writer there, who then did a two-page spread on my business for the “Business Pitch” column. The piece ran in March 2008. An investor from Vancouver picked up a copy of that issue to read on a flight to London. He came across my story, was impressed and called me when he landed. Within two months – and less than a year after the M3 event - I had a million+ dollar investment in my business! And it all started by just showing up at the M3 event and being willing to try.”
