Ringing the Bell for Women's Economic Independence

Can you hear that? That’s the sound of women entrepreneurs creating jobs, growing their businesses and helping to stimulate the US economy! That glorious sound will be loud and clear on Friday, September 2, right before Labor Day, when Count Me In will have the great honor of ringing the Opening Bell of the New York Stock Exchange.

I’ll be on the Bell Podium that morning with some of the women business owners we’ve helped grow through the Make Mine a Million $ Business program, along with our founding sponsor American Express OPEN and many other supporters.

More important, we’ll all be celebrating the power and potential women-owned businesses have on creating jobs and helping to rebuild our economy. That Opening Bell will not only represent the start of the trading day, but new opportunities to be a part of the American Dream.

Our message will be “The Power of Women Businesses – Creating Jobs and Fueling the Economy.”  And it’s not hyperbole!  Our goal is to bring 1000 new women through the M3 program in the coming years, giving them the tools needed to grow their revenues to $1 million mark. That can mean 6000 new jobs and $1 billion in economic activity!
